The Flag

Timothy Egan at the New York Times has a delightful blog post about the flag. I love the U.S. Flag, and it is still to me a wonderful symbol, full of hope, and also full of the baggage of our history. We have not always lived up to our standards, but we strive to ever make real the goal to create a "more perfect union." Just some thoughts as Independence Day approaches.
